What's new
What changed in each ClearCart release. Short version: it keeps getting better at hiding junk, and it still collects nothing.
1.10.0 — August 2026
- Fewer real brands hidden outside the US. ClearCart works on Amazon in India, the UK, Australia and Canada, but its list of established brands was almost entirely American — so genuine local brands could get treated as unknown. Added over 1,100 brands across those four countries.
- Sponsored duplicates no longer look like copycats. When Amazon showed the same product twice on one page — once as an ad, once as a normal result — ClearCart could count it as two near-identical listings and hide both. It now recognises them as one product.
- "Near-identical listing" is stricter. That label is meant for one product relisted under lots of made-up brand names. A single brand's own pack sizes and colour options no longer trigger it.
1.9.9 — August 2026
- Sharper default filtering. The default strictness now catches more of the borderline junk that used to slip through onto the first page of results.
- Price history on product pages (Pro): a "Price history" button shows every price you've personally seen for that product — built only from your own visits, stored only on your device.
- Light & dark mode. The popup follows your system theme automatically; a small button in its header lets you force either.
- A proper welcome. New installs open a short getting-started page — including why a page with "0 filtered" usually means your results were already clean.
- Now on Microsoft Edge. ClearCart is available in the Edge Add-ons store, joining Chrome and Firefox — and "Rate ClearCart" now opens the store you installed from.
- Explanations on every Pro custom-strictness setting (hover the "?"), and fixes for recent Amazon and Walmart page-layout changes.
1.9.3 — August 2026
- ClearCart comes to Firefox — same extension, same zero-data promise.
- Fixes for payment handling on Firefox and for review links opening the wrong store.
1.9.0 – 1.9.2 — July 2026
- Pro free trial extended to 7 days (email only, no card).
- A one-time, polite request to rate ClearCart — only after it has actually hidden junk for you, and never again once you answer.
- An uninstall page that asks what went wrong (email only, nothing tracked).
1.7 – 1.8 — July 2026
- Walmart support. The same junk filter now works on walmart.com search and product pages — including Walmart-specific house brands like Great Value and onn.
- Pro moved to a $13/year subscription with a free trial. Earlier lifetime buyers keep lifetime access, and earlier subscribers keep their old price.
- Health diagnostics for both sites in the popup, so you can always see that filtering is working.
1.3 – 1.6 — July 2026
- More marketplaces: amazon.ca, amazon.co.uk, amazon.com.au, and amazon.in joined amazon.com.
- Clone collapse: the same item relisted under many fake brands folds into one placeholder ("near-identical listing ×6").
- Detection of shared review pools and too-perfect ratings; Pro best-value badges, quick blocklist, local price tracking, and trust flags for inflated discounts.
1.0 – 1.2 — July 2026
- Initial release: on-device junk filtering for Amazon search with click-to-reveal placeholders, a 3,000+ brand allowlist, and zero data collection.
- "Compare price" button on product pages — one click opens a Google Shopping search.
